Hi, I’m Chas

Or C.J., which I tried to get it to stick in high school. It only worked for a while when I was in a new school in a new state. When I went home, I went back to Chas. So I guess it doesn’t really matter what you call me — ‘just don’t call me late for dinner!”

I love ‘dad jokes,’ word puns, and overall simple humor. I like anything that makes me giggle or laugh full-on until my stomach hurts and my cheeks are sore. Laughing truly is the way to be friends with me.

I am 30 years old, with a boyfriend, two kids, and a colorful past. However, I know that with all this experience, I have some amazing stories to tell — some good, some bad, some embarrassing, and some worthy of celebration. My plan here is to share a little of all of that, and some fun short stories, and my absolute favorite way to write, poetry.

I hope that my journey as a writer will be as fun for you to read as it is for me to share. I hope that you’ll see the beauty in the world the way I am able to now, if only for a short while as you read. God bless, and welcome to Chas Unchained.
